Wu trained Morro at the same time that Garmadon was training with Chen which MEANS that Misako was around to see what the pressure of wanting and training to be the Green Ninja could lead to.

So later when she had Lloyd and KNEW that he would be the legendary Green Ninja, do you think she thought of the child Wu had once trained? The kid who became so obsessed with proving himself that he put himself in danger time and time again? The little boy who ran off into the night and never came back?

After seeing that, is it any wonder why she didn't want to leave her son-- the actual Green Ninja-- to be trained by Wu at such a young age?

Maybe a boarding school for bad boys would never make him want to be a hero. Maybe it would keep him safe from the destructive power of destiny. Maybe Darkley's was the only way to save her beloved son, Lloyd Garmadon, from himself.

Maybe Misako remembered Morro. And maybe, just maybe, she knew it would be best if her son never turned into someone like that.

#HERES HOW BLUE-ISH STAR BELIEVERS CAN STILL WIN I PROMISE #Rendering sucks but I do like how these look very much. I hate drawing armour. big fan of dramatic shadows however.#but! as for justifications:#B-iS is an abno regarding what one so desperately wants but cannot have - possibly connecting to Blue Star and the paradise-like place-#people wish to reach by throwing themselves into it. though what is offered by B-iS is a much less refined yet as tantalising #given the text of 'The irresistible allure is almost tearing you apart' and the less refined bit being implied by both design #[jagged edges of the actual blue shape and legs like dolls - both unlike BS' much rounder and more naturalistic design]#in short it's the manifestation of impossible dreams - for Don this is her quest for a just knighthood in the City of all places #and for Ryōshū [though idk her source] it is her final work of art - the Hell Screen #when approached one's body is 'pushed away' as if a manifestation of how it is unachievable. at least it is for them #'To be truly blue the one with the true blue must be left alone in one’s blueness.'#is what I interpret as: 'to truly dream the dreamer must be left to one's fantasies'#dreams by nature do not intersect well with reality. all their flaws will be shown and they will crack under the pressure of the real world #it is why the dream pushes them away. to preserve itself. also probably has something to do with how DQ also has void dream #and this abno gives pride boosts in its event. and I personally see pride as a sort of 'self assurance' or 'self above others' so to speak #as to chase ones dreams one must think themselves the exception. as the one that can persevere over the City #plus the HP damage and the various juxtapositions in the 'forward' option may be in reference to how dreams and reality don't mix.#harming those who chase them. though all the same the 'backwards' option shows that simply tossing them aside shall hurt in its own way #to think oneself 'impure' enough to give up on chasing it is all the same resignation on your uniqueness #as for the gift: the name is possibly to do with how lower stars seem easier to reach. and the effect of damage at minus SP....#going insane dream chasing?#but to take ones leave allows for it to be left behind without any further effects. you did not look at your dreams. acknowledge them at al #but are you better off like that? not dreaming? forgetting that brilliantly unfinished star?#but anyways I hope you liked my rambles. also this abno and everything related to Blue Star is so tastefully C flavoured that I love them #and fun fact! when I was first generally mapping sinners to unfightable/EGOless abnos I entirely forgot Ryōshū somehow. which led to this.#they don't have weapons they just kick real hard and it works well enough #limbus company #ryōshū lcb #don quixote lcb #🎠🚬

The Longfin Of The Lost Lagoon

An unexpected issue with his aircraft forces Cargo Pilot Kylo Ren to make an emergency landing on an uninhabited island in the middle of the ocean. He prefers not to call it a ‘crash’ but the un-flyable wreck on the beach suggests otherwise. He tries to send a message to his family but the on-board computer is bust. All he can do is hope that someone notices that he doesn’t make a check-in and then come to look for him.

But Kylo doesn’t know how long he’ll survive here. He has food that he was transporting on board the plane and it’s safe enough for him to use as shelter but food will run out eventually. He may go insane from the isolation before then.

But he’d be lying if he said that he weren’t enchanted by this island, with the lagoon in particular. He knows where he is geographically but he’s never heard of this island before; he’s sure that it wasn’t on any of the maps that he has previously studied. Part of the lagoon is hidden by a cave, giving Kylo extra shelter from the rainy nights. It’s strangely peaceful.

Kylo is completely unaware that this island is not completely uninhabited. A longfinned merman has lived in these waters since he was a small fry, having fled the terrors of his father’s clan in the sea. Here, he’s safe. His shining green tail gives him excellent camouflage beneath the lagoon’s emerald waters, meaning he can observe the human from afar.

Luckily for Kylo, the merman chooses not to eat him but instead, is curious about where he came from. He leaves some fish on one of the rocks inside the cave, the very same rock where Kylo comes to meditate every day.

Kylo gets the fright of his life when a red-haired merman pops out of the water to say hello to him. He calls himself ‘Hux’, a lone merman with no clan. He has so many questions for Kylo, wanting to know everything about him.

Not only is the lagoon enchanting, but Kylo quickly finds himself falling in love with this beautiful creature. At first, he merely appreciates having someone to talk to but the more time he spends on this lonely island, the more he finds himself craving every inch Hux is smart, quick-witted and oh-so beautiful.

Kylo has a realisation when he’s swimming beneath the calming waters inside the cave, holding onto Hux’s hands as they swirl in the sunbeams; he never wants to leave this place.

Can he really return to the sky when his love is in the sea?

every day im reminded that though my parents may have wanted a dog they clearly did not want to take care of a dog

#and i KNEW this which was why i insisted on not getting dogs though they keep trying to gaslight me #into thinking that i agreed on the dogs. i didnt and i wish id railed against it harder #because ill be honest i knew i didnt want to take care of a dog i wasnt in the headspace #but i also knew that if they got the dog that the actual caring duties would be foisted off to me #and the things that They would have to do ie go to the vet nd pay the bills etc theyd complain about and avoid #and thats one thjng. but oh my fucking god. my dad specifically #its like hes trying to get these dogs to die. we have several plants in the backyard #bad for dogs. i point them out. i have pointed them out Several times.#theyre his plants the gardens his thats none of my things. he just goes oh they wont get into them #THEYRE DOGS. but he doesnt want to move his fucking plants #one of the dogs is on medicine but has a habit of not eating his food in the morning #which means if u leave his medicine in hjs bowl the other dog might eat it #one solution is to give him the tablet straight. because hes good about eating it #he doesnt want to because 'thats gross'. I'm not sure if you wanted me to talk about this secretly or publicly but! Here I go!

The TLDR: Fontaine MSQ aestheticised prison, poverty, child abuse, the justice system/court and didn't properly address any of it.

Focalors/Furina has way too much of a sympathetic angle for a dictator who's lets people drown with her inaction.

Neuvillette feels Bad for sentencing some people to death/prison, but that's it. He's one of the most powerful people in Fontaine. If he felt like there are systemic injustices, I.E sending an abused Child to prison, he should be the first person to DO something about it, not just cry and be sad so the audience can be like aw, that's complex character writing isn't it? No it's not! And guilt doesn't absolve you!!!!!!! (These are stuff we deal with in OTCOJ read my fic now /j)

Meropide has children in it, both Sentenced there (Wriothesley) and BORN THERE (Lanoire), and this is just a quirk of the place. Not only that, Meropide accepts prisoners of all genders and crimes. There are abusers and abuse victims in one place. Do you know how bad that is? How much potential for crimes to happen in a place like that— oh wait, Meropide isn't under Fontaine's jurisdiction. If you are assaulted as an inmate it literally means nothing to the court.

Wriothesley had no qualifications when he took over. Depending on how long he lived on the streets, how old he was when he killed his parents, how old he was when he was first taken in by the orphanage, etc, the man might never have more than 4–5 years of formal education. Sigewinne probably had to teach him how to write reports. And do Meropide's spreadsheets. Edit because I forgot to elaborate on this one: This isn't a point brought up anywhere, which is bad, because when poverty and incarceration robs you of a proper education (and the rights to vote in many places too, too, by the way), it reduces your prospects for jobs, reduces many people's ability to get a home etc etc. Wriothesley was just, narratively, Given his position.

Meropide is an industrialized prison, and they portray this as a good thing. Prisoners are paid in coupons for their labour, and this is also portrayed as a good thing.

The One-Meal-A-Day reform was something Paimon gushed about being so great of a perk, that people might want to go to jail for food (could be interesting and reflective of systemic poverty if MHY had brains, but they don't, so I was just Pissed because essentially all Paimon wanted to say was "Prison isn't so bad, but still don't go to prison guys! Prison labour is really hard!"). By the way, in most real-world prisons they are obligated to feed you three meals a day. Because that's how much food a human needs. MHY went with one meal just so they can say "if you want to eat more, you have to work." And then the welfare meal is a goddamn gacha. So imagine you're a starving child who's too weak to work in the fucking robot assembly line, and you wander up for your first meal in 24 hours, only to luck in with a shit one. I'd kill myself.

They wrote Wriothesley, who's a victim of the system, into a guy who's say shit like "I'm the Duke I can do whatever I want" for a cool moment where he choke-slams an inmate (I know he was a bad guy. But also, in copaganda when cops are violent/disregarding protocols, they are always only portrayed to do that against bad guys, so what does our critical thinking tells us about this one?) They wrote Wriothesley, who was an inmate of a prison so bad, so notorious that it is the literal boogeyman of Fontaine, that has a legal (???) fighting pit, with an administrator who abuses his position to be unreasonable, to willingly stay in the place and become an Administrator who would choke-slam an inmate while saying a cool line about how he has the power to do whatever he wants. They wrote him, the guy who had to be fed on the streets by melusines, to think one-meal-a-day was a good enough reform (while he spends god-knows how much on his boat). This wasn't a victim-turns-into-abuser narrative either, they want all this to be seen as positive character growth.

And then, the final kicker is, they gloss over his entire abuse. You can only read about these shit in his profile, which most people don't because they don't Have Him or doesn't care to unlock it/read it online, and they jammed his entire backstory into a flaccid info-dump at the end of his character story quest. This man isn't Allowed to feel abused and neglected and show any reaction to it within the narrative of Fontaine itself, because if they actually Gave Weight to what happened to him, they'd have to confront THE FUCKING JUSTICE SYSTEM they had NO PLANS on criticising. I don't think they ever explicitly said the fucking Crime-Theatre nonsense was Bad either.

I could go on, but this is already so long. But yeah, I hope this gave you an idea.

#and then. and im putting my most controversial opinion in the tags bc im scared lmao. but like... then... you have the fans..... doing......#the same fucking thing.#the amount of times I have seen Wriothesley used as just a side prop for Neuvillette to feel bad about shit. While Wriothesley is just.....#portrayed as having the inner peace and acceptance of a fucking monk. I was shocked when I read some fics I swear #they really said this man has no trauma at all! the stuff in his past? he's over it!#i hate that passivity when writing victims. like ok if One is written like that #sure. but MHY write all their victims like this #I mean look at fucking Lanoire #and Neuvillette sentenced him to prison after he killed his parents who were never confronted by the law. That's canon.#that's more canon than WRLT itself.#why weren't they confronted? did wriothesley try to talk to someone about it? why did he feel like killing them is his only option ?????#at least have there be some sort of conflict and friction there. How does Wriothesley feel about the court and Neuvillette when #this is the literal system that allowed all that shit to happen to him in the first place???#are you Sure he won't be at least a little wary? the fact that some people think he's Grateful to Neuvillette or even idolises him is crazy #because the man literally subjected him to prison. and if you want to portray his prison life as easy breezy and trauma free #you undermine his entire shitty little 'prison reform' narrative #and if you think he'd be completely 100% accepting of the justice system. #there's a flood coming to my city 😬#the wave is supposed to hit tomorrow at night #i'm a bit worried?#they say it's gonna be similae to 1997 #which is. not good.#everyone at work was panicking which did not help #they said the water is almost sold out in shops #and i couldn't go to the shop to buy it because i was. at work.#so i messaged my dad and he bought some for me and he'll drive over to bring it to me #his town doesn't have a big river so you can still buy water there lmao #i asked him to buy me some non perishable food like rice crackers while he was at it too #and now i'm scared that he and my mom will buy out the entire shop and i'll have to eat those things for months 😬#they can be like that sometimes haha #yeah they most definitely will bring over the whole car full of food what do i do 😭#anyway my main concern is the lack of electricity because the stupid stove in this flat doesn't use gas ;_;#gotta charge the powerbanks 💪#people are also worried that we'll go to work tomorrow and then it'll turn out the road is flooded and we'll have to stay at work overnight #lmaoooo why won't the company just give everyone the week off?? absolutely late to the party but- the whole Aemond and Lucerys thing being basically a confirmation of dragons reacting to their riders' state of mind if not always their commands is actually pretty neat. It had been subtle throughout the show, with Caraxes always reacting to Daemon (wounded or restless or angry), but they made a point of it in the finale with Syrax. First through the shared pain, then through her protectiveness, mentioned at the first bridge meeting and showcased at the second despite Rhaenyra's attempt to rein in her emotions and command peace. There is also a comment on most of these dragons not having been rode into battle, which also gives context to their behavior and their riders' surprise. Aemond was angry and seeking revenge, so Vhagar went for it; Lucerys was scared and being threatened, so Arrax protected him.

#pretty sure Vhagar had seen conflict before and it might not have been her first dragon chase. but it was certainly Aemond's 😂#Vhagar on the ride back home: but-- but didn't you say?? didn't you say u wanted his eye mf???#i thought they would play the “uncontrollable forces of nature" card and absolve them of all guilt. glad they did not.#handed-down pettiness and hatred is the whole reason i was invested in these kids in the first place.#aemond tf were you being psychotic for #lucerys why the hell didn't you back up and leave as soon as dread chonk stirred from her nap #house of the dragon

people really do not know what they're talking about when it comes to Elizabeth Woodville's social status, huh?

#yes Elizabeth was without a doubt considered too low-born to be queen #no she was not a commoner and nobody actually called her that during her life (so I'm not sure why people are claiming that they did?)#Elizabeth's social status was not a problem in itself; it was a problem in the context of queenship and marrying into royalty #Context is important in this and for literally everything else when it comes to analyzing history. Any discussion is worthless without it.#obviously pop culture-esque articles claiming that she was 'a commoner who captured the king's heart' are wrong; she wasn't #But emphasizing that ACTUALLY she was part of the gentry with a well-born mother and just leaving it at that as some sort of “GOTCHA!”#is equally if not more irresponsible and entirely irrelevant to discussions of the actual time period we're studying.#Elizabeth *was* considered unworthy and unacceptable as queen precisely because of her lower social status #her father and brother had literally been derided as social-climbers by Salisbury Warwick and Edward himself just a few years earlier #the Woodvilles' marriage prospects clearly reflected their status (and 'place') in society: EW herself had first married a knight and all #siblings married within the gentry to people of a similar status. compare that to the prestigious marriages arranged after EW became queen #Elizabeth having a lower social status was not 'created' by propaganda against her; it fueled and shaped propaganda against her #that's a huge huge difference; it's irresponsible and silly to conflate the two as I've seen a recent tumblr post cavalierly do #like I said she was considered too low-born to be queen long before any of the propaganda Warwick Clarence or Richard put out against her #and the fact that Elizabeth was targeted on the basis of her social status was in itself novel and unprecedented #no queen before her was ever targeted in such a manner; Clearly Elizabeth was considered notably 'different' in that regard #(and was quite literally framed as the enemy and destroyer of 'the old royal blood of this realm' and all its actual 'inheritors' like..)#ngl this sort of discussion always leaves a bad taste in my mouth #because it's not like England and France (et all) are at war or consider each other mortal enemies in the 21st century #both are in fact western european imperialistic nations who've been nothing but a blight to the rest of the world including my own country #yet academic historians clearly have no problem contextualizing the xenophobia that medieval foreign queens faced as products of their time #and sympathizing with them accordingly (Eleanor of Provence; Joan of Navarre; Margaret of Anjou; etc)(at least by their own historians)#Nor were foreign queens the “worst” targets of xenophobia: that was their attendants or in times of war commoners or soldiers #who actually had to bear the brunt of English aggression #queens were ultimately protected and guaranteed at least a veneer of dignity and respect because of their royal status #yet once again historians and people have no problem contextualizing and understanding their difficulties regardless of all this #so what is the problem with contextualizing the classism *Elizabeth* faced and understanding *her* difficulties?#why is the prejudice against her constantly diminished & downplayed? IT WORKED!! i did channel it outwards im a genius #so i totally would recommend if you dont want to deal with dread and are in a state where you can draw #you should make your drawing feel it so you dont have to. its great #its like when one manifests their period cramps onto goku from dragon ball z.... at least i do that #i do love goku. what kind of latinoamerican would i be if i didnt id be a disgrace but im not strong enough i know he can fight it

I don’t thinkk you guys really get it so I’m gonna say it because it’s important to me that everybody understands: Damian Wayne does not like murder or killing or any kind of death. He hates it actually. And I’m speaking canonically. That little boy was someone who was forced to kill and hurt people but never really wanted to. He never wanted to kill he had to.
